SkyGiraffe is the First Seed Investment by Microsoft Ventures
Posted on: October 9, 2013
At Microsoft Ventures, we are all about helping to create exceptional startups. We work with entrepreneurs that are turning brilliant ideas into successful companies. Earlier today, SkyGiraffe, a cloud company that brings mobility to the enterprise, became our first investment as Microsoft Ventures [LINK].
SkyGiraffe provides a SaaS platform that helps businesses deploy enterprise-grade mobile applications on any device immediately and without the need for writing code. Given the demand for smart phones and tablets in the workforce, application services are a strategic priority for enterprise companies. This investment will help them propel their business to the next level.
Based in Tel Aviv, co-founders Boaz Hecht and Itay Braun founded their company in 2012. Hecht noted that, “given Microsoft’s backing, initially as part of BizSpark, then by participating in Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in Israel provided an incredible set of resources and technical experts to get our business off the ground. Now that we are ready to scale our sales capabilities, gaining Microsoft as an investor and partner is a great vote of confidence and an unmatched distribution partner to massively increase our trajectory in the enterprise services market.”
We love working with high-potential startups like SkyGiraffe and will continue to invest through our seed fund in startups that align to Microsoft’s strategic interests. Startups that are interested in working closely with Microsoft to scale their business should apply for our Microsoft Ventures Accelerators.
We’re excited to welcome SkyGiraffe into Microsoft Ventures. If you work at an enterprise company and are looking for a mobile solution, sign up for their Private Beta at www.skygiraffe.com.
